The Bellefonte Historical Railroad Society offers fall Foliage and Santa Express excursions each October and December in partnership with North Shore Railroad and Penn Valley Railroad.  Why not make a day of it with your family?  You can ride the train and also have a great meal and do some shopping on the streets of historic, Victorian Bellefonte.

Fall Foliage Excursions

 

Each October the Bellefonte Historical Railroad Society offers the opportunity to see spectacular fall foliage from the majesty of restored Pennsylvania Railroad passenger cars.  In 2012 these excursion trips will depart from and return to the Bellefonte Train Station:

 

October 20th

Bellefonte to Pleasant Gap and back--10:00 AM

Bellefonte to Lemont and back--12:00 PM

Bellefonte to Sayer Dam and back--2:00 PM

 

Bellefonte to Tyrone and back with a stop over at the Tyrone Historical Museum--1:00 PM

 

Santa Express Excursions

 

This excursion of fun for the entire family and will create memories lasting a lifetime for children on their very first train ride.   Each run features storytelling and visits by Santa, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and the Gingerbread Man.  See the Christmas lights in homes along the way and get a glimpse of what it must have been like to come home for the Holidays on the train.  All 2012 Santa Express excursions last about one hour. They leave from and return to the Bellefonte Train Station:
